We are stayed in the United Kingdom for an additional week after our families left. Things didn't go as originally planned. At first we weren't sure what to do with ourselves, we had been intent on making sure everyone had a good time. It was a bit of a relief to head out on our own. After driving down into England for a day or two, we decided that Scotland was the place to be and took off back north. We made our way across the bottom of the country and then up the west coast. We visited many historic attractions, castles old and new. We visited Hadrian's Wall, a book town, and stayed in family owned bed and breakfasts. Best of all was the time we got to spend together. It was refreshing to know that we could be around each other day and night for weeks at a time and still get along! Even when we were doing things like watching the National Curling Championships on tv, we were still having an awesome time together.
